3B2 & Tables
3B2's internal table mark up enables you to have control over every aspect of your tables, some common areas you may expect include:
Note:
The following lists represent an overview of some tables related features in 3B2, it is by no means a comprehensive list, and should therefore not be used for comparative purposes.
- Table and cell width.
- Table and cell height.
- Alignment/position and automatic decimal alignment.
- Gutters/margins.
- Layout of columns and cells.
- Vertical justification; with limits and priorities.
- Headers, footers and captions.
- Default styles.
- Rules: cells, rows, table borders, including 3D effects and conditional location placements.
- Colour.
3B2 also provides some more advanced table features including:
- Column sets; to automatically change the column flow order when splitting tables over columns or pages, without changing the data.
- Remove column from display.
- Relative, longest line, and absolute column widths.
- Table column flow; to automatically adjust column flow in your table without changing the data, for example, it is possible to reverse the flow of a 4 column table from 1,2,3,4 to 4,3,2,1 or even 3,4,1,2.
- Table rotation.
- Ability to utilise showstrings in tables.
With 3B2 you have great flexibility over the tables in your document. You can create tables on the fly and decide on table formats as you make them.
